About White Rhino..
White Rhino is the first of my new series of sculptural retablos/icons. A plaster repro of the David sculpture by Michelangelo with broken wrist. The model holds a paint brush. A rhino sits on its head while a tiny gorilla surveys the world from its shoulder. A dinosaur rests between the statue's leg. Why a white rhino? Don't know. What story does this tell. It's yours to decide.
